Features
Everything a modern messenger needs, plus account protection most others do not offer. Privacy is not an extra here, it is the default state.
/01Messages
Everything you need to write
Text & mentions
Just write. In groups you mention someone with @name, and your own mention is highlighted for you.
Images
Send images with an optional caption. They are downsized before sending and open large on tap.
Voice messages
Record a voice message right in the app and send it encrypted, with a player and length indicator.
Files
Attach any file, with name and size. They travel encrypted too and arrive as a download.
Reactions
React with 👍 ❤️ 😂 😮 😢 🙏. Identical reactions are counted together, a tap shows who reacted.
Reply & forward
Quote a message and jump to the original on tap. Forward single messages or several at once.
Edit & unsend
As long as your counterpart has not read a message, you can edit it or retract it for everyone.
Pin & search
Pin the most important message to the top. Search a single chat, or all conversations at once with global search.
Disappearing messages
Set messages to delete themselves per chat, from 10 seconds to 1 hour. The timer only starts once read, and runs in sync on both sides.
Read receipts & typing
One tick means delivered, two ticks read. And you see when the other side is typing.
/02Groups & calls
In a group, just as private
Group chats
Groups of up to 30 members, with their own name and picture. Mentions and sender names included.
Admin roles
Admins manage members and roles, add and remove people. There is always at least one admin left.
Per-member encryption
Each group message is encrypted individually for every member. The server never learns it belongs to a group, and members only appear there as pseudonyms.
Voice & video calls
Call your contacts encrypted, audio or video, right in the browser over a peer-to-peer connection.
/03Your account
Protected in more than one way
Two-factor (2FA)
Optional one-time code from an authenticator app, set up via QR code. Then a password alone is no longer enough to sign in.
Passkey & biometrics
Unlock the app with Face ID, fingerprint or your device PIN. Your data key is locked inside your device's security chip, not on the server.
App lock
Lock the app with a tap, and your key leaves memory immediately. If you like, it locks itself after 5, 15 or 30 minutes of inactivity.
Recovery phrase
At sign-up you receive 12 words. They are the only way to restore your keys and identity. We cannot do it, no one else can either.
/04Trust & control
You notice when something is off
Safety numbers
Compare a number per contact to make sure no one is sitting in between. Verified contacts stay marked.
Key-change warning
If a contact's key changes unexpectedly, you are warned instead of quietly continuing. This works even for contacts you never explicitly verified.
New-login warning
If an unknown device signs in, you get a warning with IP, device and time, and can refuse the approval.
Sessions & devices
See all active sessions and linked devices. End single ones, or all others with one click.
Blocking
Block someone globally in settings or straight from their profile.
Emergency wipe
One move wipes the local messages and keys of the selected contacts and signs you out. You decide in advance which contacts are affected and whether it asks first.

Dark design, three font sizes and a compact mode with less spacing between messages.
Four languages
The interface comes in German, English, Spanish and French.
Content-free notifications
Push wakes you without ever showing the message text. It is only decrypted inside the opened app.
Encrypted backup
Export your data encrypted and load it back in on another device.
Web app, no store
Runs in the browser on Android and iOS. Via “Install as app” it lands on your home screen as a full app.
No phone number
All you need to start is a username. No mobile number, no mandatory email.
Your own server
If you want, connect the app to a server you run yourself, the server address is freely configurable.
